 Organization ProfileICLAM consists of the International Committee and the Bureau. Every participating country can send up to 3 delegates to the International Committee. The Committee meets every three years before each congress. Between congresses, the members of the Committee are consulted for suggestions as to the topics of interest. Both, they and the Bureau members are the link to the national organizations. The members of the Bureau are recruited from the Committee. At present there are 12, the number will be increased up to 15. The Bureau elects the president, vice president and general secretary. The duration of office is 6 years (2 congresses). General secretary and vice president can be reelected. The Bureau meets at least once a year. It has to steer and supervise the preparations of the congresses. |
