The Giorgio Cini Foundation,

located in the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, in front of St. Mark Square, is the most prestigious Congress Centre in Venice.

Since restoration work was completed at the beginning of the 1950s one of the main activities of the Foundation has been to promote and host conferences and congresses.

Over the last forty years this activity has played a major role in the development of culture, science and the professions. It has also stimulated relations on an international level and on certain occasions (for example, the major Summits) has made the Giorgio Cini Foundation, together with the city of Venice, a protagonist on the world stage.
